The rules we follow

  • Contributions must come from your own personal funds, not a business, LLC, or corporate account.
  • Corporate and business-entity contributions can’t be accepted under Michigan law.
  • Contributions to this committee are not tax deductible.
  • If you give more than $100 in total over the course of the campaign, state law requires us to collect your employer and occupation. That’s gathered automatically at checkout.
  • Contributions must be made in your own name. Giving in someone else’s name, or having someone give in yours, isn’t allowed.
  • Individual contributions are limited to $1,225 for this election cycle, per Michigan’s limits for school board candidate committees.
